Jazz and Tap Courses with Ashley and Koh

Ashley and Koh are back for 2019 and are ready to start their Jazz and Tap courses at Crossover Dance! Jazz will be on Mondays at 8:00pm and Tap will feature level 1 beginners on thu 8:30pm and sun 6:30 for level 2! If you’ve been meaning to improve your technique, learn a new style and get intensive training from these guys, come join! Enjoy!

After an amazing workshop, Akino had agreed to start teaching a course to share her knowledge in soul! Over 8 weeks, come and learn the foundations, basics, moves and grooves that make her dance so good and get to know Akino!

From Akino:
Style is soul locking! I will teach routine with foundation and how I use body with isolation. I want to share the fun of dancing with everyone and I want them to feel music and find their style!

May June 8 Week Locking Course #3 Steps Edition

Due to Jun being injured the start week of this course will be moved one week forward to 24th!

May June will be running another Locking course to focus on improving your locking!

A dance style from the 1970s Locking or Campbellocking is an improvisational dance using the lock. Done originally to Funk and Soul music, this dance has many steps and a deep culture. If you are looking for somewhere to improve your dancing ability this is the class for you!

This is the third course though i will be going through the basics so if there is anyone who is new to locking or even been doing it for a while, the first few weeks will either clean up, revise or teach you the foundations you will need to do this style!

Crossover 18 and under Performance Crew Auditions

Do you love dance and want to improve in a fun environment with other dancers as a team? XO is looking for young dedicated individuals who want to gain professional training and personal guidance from some of Sydney’s best dancers and then put it into practice on stage repping XO. If this sounds like you (or anyone you know), we’d like to invite you to a opportunity to improve your dance, become an amazing performer and have the time of your life.

Crossover Dance Studios are holding auditions to put together an Under 18’s performance team for 2017. The dance team will be directed by Andrew Lais (FETCH founder/director) and will represent Crossover in shows, performances and competitions.

Participants must be aged 12-18 years at the start of 2017.
No prior dance experience required but preferred.

In the audition, you will be asked to learn and perform a short piece of choreography.

1 – 3pm Audition
